Rates and Reservations

Our Colorado Dude Ranch is open from March 1 until November 28, 2010. During the Spring (March 1 – May 23, 2010) and Fall (August 29 – November 28, 2010), our minimum stay is two nights. In the Summer (May 28 until August 29, 2010), our minimum stay is seven nights, from Sunday to the following Sunday. For any additional information or inquiries please contact us.

Included in your all-inclusive rate are meals, lodging, entertainment and complete use of our ranch facilities: guided horseback riding, fishing, tennis, swimming, children/teen program (summer only) and all other programs and facilities except trap shooting, massage therapist, fly fishing, school/excursions, transportation, and Colorado state sales tax (4.6%). This makes it easy to budget your vacation since you know your total bill before leaving home.

Accommodations

For 33 years, we have been rated by AAA as a “4 diamond” property. Your “home for the week” will reflect this standard of quality. Our mountain-side deluxe cabin suites have one, two, and three bedrooms, living room which functions as an additional bedroom at night, fireplace, refrigerator, coffee service, one or two baths, porch and swing. The cabins are spaced among the pines for your peace and quiet.

Reservations

Advance reservations are required. Reservations may be made by letter, phone (303-647-2311), FAX (303-647-2315) or ONLINE. We will hold your accommodations without deposit for approximately two weeks. The management of Lost Valley reserves the right to refuse, change, or cancel reservations at any time.

Deposit

We require a 50% deposit to confirm your reservation. We accept cash, personal checks, travelers check and Visa or Mastercard. The actual amount of your deposit and its due date will be stipulated when making your tentative booking. Groups and multiple cabin family reunions require 60% deposit.

Cancellations

For summer reservations, your full deposit will be refunded provided notice of cancellation reaches us before March 1, 2010. For spring and fall reservations, your deposit will be refunded if notice reaches us 60 DAYS before your schedule arrival date. Within the 60 day period or after March 1, your deposit (less a service charge: $500 for Summer, $200 for Spring/Fall, $100 for weekends) will be refunded if another reservation with the same number of people can be filled; otherwise, the entire deposit/or pro-rate portion is forfeited. For group and multiple cabin family reunions, cancellation must reach us 150 days before your arrival date; otherwise, your entire deposit is forfeited.

Trip Insurance

For your protection, we highly recommend trip or vacation insurance for those “last minute” medical or emergency cancellations. Call Travel Guard at 800-826-1300. Please use this number when requesting information: 006144.

Payment

At the end of your stay, payment is to be made in full either by cash, traveler’s check, personal check, Visa or Mastercard. Trading Post charges, trap shooting, transportation, and any other charges are added to your bill and may be paid at check-out time.

Gratuity

Because your rate is all-inclusive, no tip or gratuity is required or expected. Meeting your expectations does not qualify us for any tips. If, however, we have exceeded your expectations, you may wish to leave something for the staff gratuity fund. We believe strongly that exceeding your expectations is a “TEAM” effort by our staff, therefore, all tips will be divided evenly among all the staff at the end of the season.

Transportation

There is no public transportation to Lost Valley. You will need to secure a rental car or we will be happy to help arrange transportation to the Ranch by our van service. We will pick you up in Denver or Colorado Springs for a round trip charge of $90 per person ($120 minimum/$540 maximum charge). Rates for groups and multi-cabin families will be quoted on a case by case basis. We need to receive your request at least 10 days before you arrive.

Pets

Because of the large number of horses, cats and dogs here on our Ranch and for the safety of animals, we do not allow pets.

Alcoholic Beverages

Because we do not have a liquor license and our desire to maintain a “family atmosphere”, we ask that all alcohol be consumed in your cabin.
