when most schools are in session, there's a noticeable change in atmosphere at Lost Valley Ranch. It's a great time for the "grown-ups" to gather. Meals are a bit more gourmet, activities are geared more for adults and horseback rides can be shorter or longer, depending on how everyone feels that day. There's more time to relax and enjoy the company of people, like yourself, who appreciate the beauty and peace of Colorado’s quiet seasons.

Smell the crisp mountain air,

gaze at the heavens awash with stars, hear the wind whispering through golden aspens, feel the motion of your horse, taste the trail dust. On a good day, that's all you need. On a bad day, that's all you need. Lost Valley Ranch's Fall Specialty Weeks are a natural extension of what a Colorado working ranch is all about. These weeks are for adults only and are meant to bring out the cowboy within you. No experience is required. We start where you are and then move you down the trail. Becoming a cowboy is a process, not a product of some school.

With our Horsemanship Weeks, Fall Colors Week, Cattle Week and Cattle Roundup, you experience a three-way interplay of the horse, the cowboy and the cow - not to mention the Rockies in autumn. Simply...western!
